The
Eleventh Annual Piano Wellness Seminar
Has Become:
The Eleventh Annual
Keyboard Wellness Seminar
Now for pianists and organists
THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH TEXAS
JULY 23-JULY 31, 2010
[Please see news and updates below.]
In 1995, Piano Wellness founder Sheila
Paige began presenting workshops on the Taubman Approach
for Pianists. Over the years, demand for her workshops and
private lessons grew. In 2000, Ms. Paige realized her dream
of organizing an annual seminar based on a multi-disciplined
approach to learning. The Piano Wellness Seminar encompasses
the mind, the body and the spirit by combining the Taubman
Approach, Alexander Technique, Bodymapping, Developmental
Fitness, Meditation, Pilates, and T'ai Chi among other disciplines.
Now in its tenth year the seminar is becoming the Keyboard
Wellness Seminar for pianists and organists, with new organ
faculty member, Bradley Hunter
Welch. Seminar sessions are designed to pertain to both
pianist and organists, with special sessions just for organists.
The website, www.KeyboardWellnessSeminar.com
will provide updates on Sheila Paige's teaching, performing,
and lecturing schedule, as well as updates on her faculty's
teaching and concerts. The Piano Wellness Seminar has changed its name to Keyboard Wellness Seminar since 2008.
Ms. Paige's lectures from the 2006 Keyboard Wellness Seminar
are available on DVD. New titles from 2007 are now for sale
with many more coming soon from 2007 and 2008. Please see
our DVD link.
Ms. Paige and the Keyboard Wellness Seminar are dedicated to
“helping today's pianists create a better legacy for
the future.” |
